Catch up time! On the 19th of December I got back to London and didn't leave again for two and a half weeks. In that time I really didn't get up to an awful lot. So I'll just tell you the highlights.
On my first day back I was reunited with Zoya, Melissa and Timo and it was lovely. I honestly cannot remember what we did...probably just sat around a lot and laughed whilst Timo and Zoya tried to offend each other as much as possible. It was Zo's 21st birtday on the 22nd and we had like three days of birthday celebrations. I personally think that I gave her the best present (tickets to see Wicked!), but I cant say for sure. We had a fabulous night at the theatre, except for the devil child in front of us who kept standing up during the performance and playing with her iPhone!
Timo went back to Edinburgh later that week so it was just me, Mum and the girls for Christmas. We had a very pleasant day which involved stupid amounts of food, some tears, spilt champagne, crackers, Doctor Who and Glee. Good times.
Mel and Zo went home on the 28th which was a little devastating, I wont lie. But on the same day Jo arrived, so all was well! Jo, Timo and I spent New Years in Greenwich (a little village just outside London, for those of you who dont know) and it was a thoroughly underwhelming evening. The best part of it was Jo and I getting a fish bowl cocktail. And yes, it is exactly what it sounds like - an entire fish bowl full of alcohol. Yum.
Mum and I went a little theatre crazy in her week. We saw Wicked, The Country Girl and The Lion King and they were all amazing. Wicked has got to be one of my favourite musicals ever, I love it. And The Lion King was incredible! The costumes and set blew my mind. The Country Girl was a play starring Martin Shaw (AKA Judge John Deeds) and was about an alcoholic actor, the director who's trying to help him get his life together, and the actors wife - who both men are in love with. I thought it was mighty depressing, but also one of the best performances I've ever seen live. Good times.
Oooh also we went to London Zoo! I think Mum suggested it because I'm like a 3 year old in a lot of ways so she figured it was the best way to cheer me up after Mel and Zo left. Anyway - it was amazing! I got to see otters! And meerkats! And Red Pandas! And a pygmy hippo (which was actually really disappointing cos I was expecting a tiny hippo...) And tigers! And Aardvarks! And Pottos! Great day.

| I had never heard of a potto but they're so tiny and cute! Look at his big eyes and hit little hands! |
1. It's ridiculously fun
2. It makes most people look like idiots.
Here are some of the best examples of this...
Hint: Greek God.
Guess: Zues? Here? Hercules? Ares? Aphrodite? Artemis? Hades?
Answer: Vesuvius...?
Hint: Big spotty cat.
Guess: Dalmation!
Hint: Insect with 100 legs.
Guess: Millipede!
Yesterday we drove to Keale University to visit our friend Tom (also from Kenya). It was a really lovely day. We played hits from 1999 all the way there and then lay on Tom's bed, drank tea and ate baked goods for about four hours. Could you ask for much more?
I'm on my way back to London once again, but am only here for the night this time - I'm flying to Istanbul with Jo and Timo tomorrow! And I get home in 10 days! Exciting stuff.
xx.
